Daniel when, where and what was your first modelling experience?
Who was the photographer?

I did my first modelling at the age 18. It was for a fine-art male model coffee book and it was very exiting for me to start out with a real pro photographer. His name is Joakim Karlsson and we have done allot of photo shoots since then. Some of the pics are up-and-running on my Myspace page. (www.myspace.com/danielnorell)

Are you happy with your modelling career so far?

Yes I am. I never thought I would travel so much as I have done just for the modelling. I've met allot of great photographers and made some great images along the way. Each photo I do has a story or a thought behind it, I want to do as much creative stuff I can with my photos and always want to do something new and different. But I still have plenty more things I want too.

What would you like to achieve in 2007 in your modelling career?

I would love to go back to Los Angeles or maybe Asia/Australia for some new great underwear campaigns or of such kind. I always wanted to do a photo shoot in the streets of Tokyo.

Do you have any ‘dream photographers’ you would love the opportunity to model for?

I would love to work with the photographers that do the CK adds also David Lachapelle & Joe Oppedisano has some amazing imagery going on, very edgy and stunning visuals. I also would like to work with Tim Ricks again. I think he really captured my essence.

Tell us about your rock band. Are you the lead singer? How many members? What is the name of your band? What type of music do you produce? All originals? Which bands/musicians inspire you? Where can we see you play? What are your goals with the band? Do you have demo cd’s you can send agents and radio stations?

We are currently 2 members of a Gothic/Pop/Rock band called Chrysalis. This is still the project name of the band and can still change. The name reflects on the evolution from the cocoon of my ''early years'' to the full-blown butterfly of my music. We are focusing on dark epic music taking inspiration from all the movies we have loved from growing up to present like ''The Matrix'' to ''300'' to ''Batman Returns.'' Our favourite artists are Within Temptation, Utada Hikaru, Evanescence, Nelly Furtado, Danny Elfman, Chris Daughtry and Timbaland.

Goals with our band is to have people feel that they are stepping into another galaxy with our music. We are very visual people so we want the experience for our music and hopefully videos to be that people feel this could be a movie from the future.

You seem to have an incredible enthusiasm for living your dreams, your very inspiring, does this mean there is very much a playful boy still alive and well in Daniel Norell?

Yes very much so. I'm very fond of Sci-fi, movies, singing, playing video games and going out and party. I am an Entertainer. I want to do as much as I can. And hope people will like it.

What child-like influences does this inner connection have on your life’s dreams and passions today?

As a child I did allot of theatre and was always drawn to play the bad dark guy. I loved to watch Tim Burton movies. I really fell for Edward Scissorhands and Batman. I think that inspired me to do very different and odd photos combining beauty and a Fit and healthy body. I have been active with allot of sports growing up like, Aikido for instance. But later in my teens I wanted to put more weight into Fitness & Bodybuilding. Inspirations were Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bob Paris.

What is the strongest most dominant part of your personality?

I am my own Boss. I go in the directions I feel are suited just for me. I know my taste/style and work very hard to achieve that.

Is there a darker side to Daniel Norell and if so, do you keep control of this – or do you channel it into an area of your life where it has a positive use?

I think you can notice in my lyrics that I have very dark thoughts. Life can't be happy all the time. But mostly I’m a very good and laid back person : )

If you could take anybody in the world to dinner - who would you most like to take, where would you take them and what would you most like to talk about with them?

I think I would like to take Madonna out to dinner. She seems very smart and interesting. I bet she could give me some pointers in getting those super toned legs.
